SSI SCUBA Skills Update

If you are a certified diver but haven't been in the water for some time, it is advisable to do a Scuba Review Session prior to jumping back into diving. The SSI SCUBA Skills Update will provide you with the opportunity to review and practice all the necessary scuba skills that you learned in your original Open Water Diver course. The review session will be in a heated indoor pool under the guidance of a qualified Dive Professional

To refresh your dive skills we can offer an SSI SCUBA Skills Update. After restoring your confidence and knowledge in the pool session you may choose to pay a little extra and complte an optional Open Water dive somewhere off the Taranaki coastline.

In the pool session we will run over the essential safety skills including everything from equipment assembly and pre-dive safety checks, to buoyancy and out of air procedures. You will also get plenty of time to swim around so that you will be a lot more comfortable on your first open water dive in the sea.

The cost of the SSI scuba skills update is $199.00 which includes the online theory component, one InWater Training session in the pool and use of SCUBA hardware (BCD, regulator, cylinder & weight system) You must provide your own personal dive equipment by way of wetsuit, fins, boots, mask and snorkel. Please enquire for pricing if you wish to do the optional Open Water shore dive.

If you want to use your own dive equipment you will need to bring it down to the Dive Centre before you Pool Session so that we can give it a free pre dive check over. We can also fit you out with any other hire gear you may require.
