Learn to Dive with Oceans AliveWe now offer the option for you to enroll and study with PADI eLearning - keep reading for more details. Our Diver Training Programmes are available all year round and we will do our best to schedule a course to suit your busy lifestyle. Because the best way to learn to dive is by diving, we will get you into the water as soon as possible. HOW YOU WILL LEARN To help you make the most of your time we are now offering you the opportunity to enroll and study online through PADI eLearning. This means you can study at home at your own pace through an interactive computer-based program. Or you can also start learning offline with PADI's home based study materials – PADI TouchTM (a tablet app) . This Knowledge Development will teach you the principles and guidelines to insure your diving experiences are both safe and enjoyable. THIS IS WHERE THE REAL ADVENTURE BEGINS! Once you have completed the theory we can then move onto the InWater component which depending on your course will be either Confined Water (pool dives) or Open Water (ocean) dives. We use a heated indoor salt water pool and our ocean dives are usually off the Taranaki coastline. Some Specialty and Adventure Dive Courses may call for us to travel away for dives such as Altitude or Drift diving. WHAT SCUBA GEAR YOU WILL NEED For all courses you will need your own personal equipment including a mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves and wetsuit. We always supply the use of BCD, regulator, weight belt, and dive cylinder for Open Water Diver students but for more advanced courses you will need all your own gear. However you can hire all the gear you need from us for an additional cost or purchase it from our retail store. GET STARTED NOW |
