Bills RockFound in the Sugar Loaf Islands Marine Protected Area A very easy dive situated on the Sugar Loaf Islands Marine Protected Area. Here you will find a volcanic reef and a sandy/silty bottom. The depth of the reef ranges from 8-20m. There are many overhangs and a cave on the eastern face. Marine life you could see include crayfish, groupers, snapper, crabs, conger and moray eels as well as many sponges and invertebrates.. A very scenic dive suitable for novice divers and snorkelling. Access is by boat from Port Taranaki. |
