Hapuka Rock in the Tapuae Marine Reserve

Named after a beautiful coral enveloped rock pinnacle rising to several feet below the water surface. Here you will find abundant marine and coral life.  Also watch the seals feed and play at this site.

Great underwater landscapes are ideal for udnerwater photography. Due to the currents and depth, this site is recommended for intermediate to advanced level divers. Maximum depth is around 32m and accessed by a ten minute boat ride from Port Taranaki.  Hapuka Rock is in the Tapuae Marine Reserve.
